Tishman Speyer has closed on a 466-unit student housing property in Vienna's Erdberg neighborhood, the first acquisition for its open-end European core-plus fund, TS Plus Europe, IREI reported. No purchase price was disclosed.
The building, completed in 2024, sits at Karl-Farkas-Gasse 14 in Vienna's third district. It totals 13,483 square meters (145,130 square feet) of residential space. Its 466 units include 418 single rooms and 48 double rooms, alongside a restaurant, café, office space and an underground garage with 32 spaces.
Amenities include a 24-hour fitness center, roof terrace, social kitchen, study spaces, music room, cinema and bicycle parking. The property is within walking distance of the Vienna BioCenter life sciences campus, the U3 Erdberg metro station and Wien St. Marx rail station.
“Vienna’s growing student population and limited supply of purpose-built housing make this a compelling first investment for TS Plus Europe,” said Marc Pamin, a managing director at Tishman Speyer. The fund targets institutional-quality investments in major European metropolitan centers, initially in residential and industrial properties.
Tishman Speyer's $340 million Anaheim acquisition, reported earlier by this publication, priced at $904,000 a key with further amenity spend budgeted.
