ICO Development names Daysi Warren COO and CFO
A $500M private CRE firm combines planning and finance in one new hire.
ICO Development, a Los Angeles private commercial real estate firm, has named Daysi Warren chief operating and financial officer. The company, in business more than 35 years, manages about $500 million in assets. Warren arrives from Redcar Properties, where she served as CFO; RETS Associates led the search. Connect CRE was first to report the hire.
The combined role puts operating oversight in the same seat as finance. Warren will partner with executive leadership on business planning, monitor financial performance, and back growth with strategic financing, per the report. For a firm of ICO's size, one person holding both jobs is a compact answer to a familiar problem: running a private CRE operation with institutional discipline without a full corporate suite.
Elsewhere, a handful of firms added capacity. McColly Bennett Commercial Advantage opened a New Lenox office and hired two brokers. KeyBank Real Estate Capital brought in Brandon David as a vice president in its income property group, where he will manage West Coast sponsor relationships. Devon Self Storage took over management of three self-storage properties in Virginia and Kentucky. And UrbanStreet Group, a Chicago developer, completed a merger with Wingspan Development Group; Wingspan's multifamily and mixed-use pipeline moves to UrbanStreet while Nicholas & Associates keeps the construction work.
None of these firms is pulling back. Each is adding something: an office, a lender, a manager, a pipeline. ICO's appointment makes the same bet — a $500 million shop that thinks it can grow through this market by tightening operations and financing.
