At a glance

15-second brief
  • Ninety-four of the 100 homes are midmarket rentals averaging about 646 square feet; five private-sector rentals average about 1,001 square feet, and one home is social rental.

  • Per PRED's records, CBRE IM reports $22.8 billion in regulatory assets under management and in September announced the $1.6 billion purchase of net-lease lender Tenet.

CBRE Investment Management has acquired a planned 100-home rental development in Amsterdam from You'RE Development, acting on behalf of NN Group, IREI reported on Oct. 15. IREI's report did not give a purchase price.

The scheme sits on Naritaweg, on the former Klimhal Amsterdam site and within walking distance of Amsterdam Sloterdijk railway station.

Ninety-four of the 100 homes are midmarket rentals averaging about 646 square feet; five private-sector rentals average about 1,001 square feet, and one home is social rental. Nine ground-floor commercial units start at roughly 323 square feet and are aimed at small businesses, alongside a hospitality unit of about 1,991 square feet.

MOKE Architecten designed the building, which includes a ground-floor bicycle store accessible from both sides by a dedicated cycle street, an inner courtyard and a roof terrace. Courtyard planting and greenery cascading from the roof reference the Brettenzone, the green wedge that connects Amsterdam-West through Sloterdijk to the landscape beyond.

Per PRED's records, CBRE IM reports $22.8 billion in regulatory assets under management and in September announced the $1.6 billion purchase of net-lease lender Tenet. IREI did not state whether the transaction is a completed purchase or a commitment to a scheme still to be built.
